Join your fellow alums for a hike to beautiful Wallace Falls!
We’ll set off from the trailhead at 9 am in order to beat the crowds.
How do I get there: Proceeding from Everett on Highway 2, approach the city of Gold Bar. Turn left onto 1st Street, then drive .4 miles and take a right onto May Creek Rd (there will be Wallace Falls signage for both turns). Snake your way up May Creek Rd for 1.3 miles until you reach a Y-junction. Right will take you into Camp Huston, so proceed left and drive up a short path into the Wallace Falls State Park parking lot.
What’s the Hike like: Wallace Falls is a very pretty and popular trail, with several waterfalls and great old-growth forest scenery along the way. Located roughly an hour from Seattle near Gold Bar, the trail itself is a 5.6 mile round-trip hike, with a 1,300-foot elevation gain. It’s considered low difficulty and is leashed-dog and kid friendly.
What’s the parking situation: A Discover Pass is required (one can be purchased from a dispenser at the parking lot)
Should I bring anything with me: Wear your Maize and Blue, and pack a picnic lunch.
Hope you’ll be able to join us!
