I just finished my freshman year at The University of Michigan and am now back home in Sammamish for the summer. After one short, but eventful, year at Michigan, I am pleased to say that I am so proud to be a Wolverine! I am on a pre-med track, majoring in Neuroscience. I am actively involved in many organizations, including my sorority, Chi Omega, the American Medical Students Association (AMSA), K-Grams (pen pals with Detroit elementary schools), and other on-campus groups. I have been fortunate enough to make some of the best friends and relationships here that I know will continue with me for the rest of my life.
I was so honored to be selected by the University of Michigan Seattle Alumni Club to receive this scholarship. I know how many amazing students are from the area and it means so much to have this scholarship that will contribute to my success and goals in my remaining years at Michigan. Knowing I have strong support from back home means the world and will provide me with extra determination and motivation to accomplish greatness. I cannot wait to continue representing the great Pacific Northwest in Michigan, as well as spreading the pride of Michigan and being a Wolverine back home to Seattle and beyond.
Thank you – and Go Blue!
