For several years now our club has sold its own t-shirts to local alums. These have been very popular, and we’ve featured a number of different designs:
- Big Block ‘M’ with Space Needle profile cut out of one side of the ‘M’
- ‘Hail’ design with Space Needle replacing the ‘i’ (This design, BTW, has been copied by other U-M clubs all around the country, with other local landmarks replacing the Space Needle.)
- ‘M Seattle’ design with Seattle skyline and Mt. Rainier in the background (The U-M athletic department ordered three of these.)
- ‘Michigan’ design with the Space Needle replacing the second ‘I’
Thanks to their generous and unstinting efforts on these designs, the names of Steve Rozillis, Brian Blankinship and Sarah Roberts will be forever enshrined in the glorious annals of our Seattle Club.
But now it’s someone else’s turn. We have many local alums who look forward each fall to the unveiling of a new design, and we don’t want to disappoint them.
Have any ideas for a new design? Any graphic design skills? Any interest at all in working on this? If any of the above, drop Herb a note at firstname.lastname@example.org and let’s see what you’ve got.
